Macronutrients (carbs, protein, fat) get so much attention nowadays, it’s important that we also get a wide variety of micronutrients in our diet and the right amount.


Vitamins participate in many metabolic processes such as growth, repair, digestion, energy transfer, nervous system function, and immunity.

Minerals help build body structures like teeth and bones and electrolytes help regulate body fluids.

✅Eating a wide range of whole, minimally processed plant and animal foods can help us get plenty of micronutrients easily and naturally. Supplementing with micronutrients is another option if access to whole/natural foods is limited.
